Tooth desensitising mousse is available for use after the teeth whitening process, should your teeth become sensitised. The mousse can be applied in the teeth whitening trays and worn as normal.

Mousse Application

  1. Following bleach application, rinse the custom tray thoroughly under running water; then apply a generous layer of tooth mousse into the upper and lower trays.
  2. Leave the tray undisturbed in the mouth for a minimum of three minutes.
  3. Remove the tray.
  4. Use the tongue to spread the remaining the mousse throughout the mouth and retain as long as possible (1-2 minutes), delaying swallowing during this time. The longer the tooth mousse and saliva are maintained in the mouth the more effective the result.

Avoid eating or drinking for 30 minutes following application.

Remove residue from tray under running water immediately after use.

Teeth Mousse may also be used to treat:

  • White spot lesions - active white spot lesions can be remineralised, arrested lesions can be remineralised after etching/microabrasion
  • Prevention of Decalcification during/after Orthodontics - apply before, during and after bracket placement
  • Treatment of Fluorosis with microabrasion and or teeth whitening as above.
  • Tooth hypersensitivity - twice daily application of Tooth Mousse can arrest the process of dental erosion, a common cause of tooth sensitivity.
  • Protecting the very young - tooth mousse applied twice a day will increase the available calcium and phosphate and so help in the prevention of caries.
  • Adult Caries Stabilisation - a twice daily application and a change in lifestyle to ensure the longevity of restorations and existing tooth structure.
  • Saliva Gland Malfunction due to medication or medical treatments - tooth mousse can be sued as a 'saliva alternative' to protect tooth structure from caries and erosion during patient care.
